Creating the framework for modern living

Learn how our AAC block and metal phase sets a new standard in durability and precision

Most homes are only structurally supported by a foundation and wood framing. Stack & Standard homes combine the strength of an Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) poured concrete foundation, steel trusses, and impeccable framing to ensure our residences are as structurally sound as possible. All of our structural materials carry the highest possible safety and stability rating while naturally resisting dangerous conditions like termites, water, and fire damage, and mold growth.

Simply put: our homes are built to last
from every angle.

Block Phase

AAC is a widely used commodity building material in Europe and Asia,  making up a significant portion of the residential construction industry abroad. In contrast, in the U.S., AAC is considered a specialty product due to its limited availability and higher procurement costs, often reserved for commercial or luxury construction projects. Over the years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to finding the right suppliers to make this high-quality, commercial-grade material accessible for residential construction.

Metal Phase

Cold-formed steel studs, commonly known as "metal framing," are U-shaped, high-strength building materials often used by specialty contractors and commercial builders as an alternative to traditional wood framing. While metal framing offers superior durability and performance compared to wood, it is less common in residential construction due to its higher cost. Additionally, working with metal framing requires specialized tools, skilled framers, and higher transportation costs, as it is not as readily available as wood.

AAC blocks & panels, created by combining five naturally occurring elements with water under the high pressure of an autoclave, are a gold standard material and the core of our construction. These lightweight blocks and panels are 1/5th the weight of standard concrete and are manufactured to contain closed-cell air pockets. This allows for insulation in every single wall of the home - not just the exterior. Additionally, every water line, PVC pipe, electrical wire, and HVAC duct is insulated during our build process to make our homes as energy-efficient as possible.

At the heart of our mission is the commitment to quality, which is why we refuse to cut corners, even when it comes to cost. For all non-AAC framing, we exclusively use cold-formed steel. Like autoclaved aerated concrete, steel framing is incredibly durable—it won’t bow, warp, rot, or suffer damage from water events like floods or hurricanes. Additionally, cold-formed steel offers superior fire resistance, providing an added layer of safety and peace of mind. It’s a material designed to withstand the test of time, ensuring your home remains safe, secure, and strong for years to come.
